Dawlance has three factories, two sites in Karachi and one in Hyderabad, with a total of 4,000 employees. It manufacture's washing machines, freezers, split air conditioner, microwave oven complete range of home appliances.

As day by day growing business and network, Dawlance has planned to upgrade their existing Data center to meet standards as per tier TIA-942A/B as well they planned to renovate their server room of factories and plant. Purpose of renovation of all servers is make operational 24/7 remote monitoring site, security, work efficiency, control & manage manufacturing as per demand and supply. All remote site will be control by centralized Data Center, Head office.

Centralized Data Center By focusing the need of customer, we installed a Vertiv Smart solution which consist of 4 Racks, 2 x 20KW Room Cooled Precision Cooling, 1 x 90kva Modular UPS with dual independent path for the data center with standard battery backup time, Data center infrastructure environmental monitoring solution, Fire detection and suppression system NOVEC 1230. Factory 1, 2, 3, 4: Site preparation, Power work, Racks, Data cabling, Cable tray system, UPS power distribution, Fire detection system.

There were power problems and hotspots were a major issue in the data center. It was a challenge just trying to maintain a consistent temperature throughout the room, “There were days when some units at 76°F and others between 82°F and 93°F. It’s not equipment threatening level yet, but it is worrisome — and not energy efficient.”

A guiding principle for the design of the facility was to eliminate all single points of failure of critical systems, the unique nature of the building’s design and fabric required Dolman Mall to reduce the footprint of existing data center, also reducing the capacity of the comfort cooling system. N+1 Critical power backup system and Chilled water serves underfloor air handling units; computer room air handlers and the underfloor areas are served with thermostatic zone terminals at Cold Aisle.

Energy-saving four-staged cooling maximizes part-load efficiencies, reduces water consumption, and improves reliability. EER upto 4 at 45°C design condensing temperature. Liebert EC fan modulates the fan speed according to load density, saving nearly 30% of energy consumption.
